Gramma & Griffin

(May 2nd, 2008)
Gramma is a frequent visitor, and finally got up the nerve to hold Griffin. I don't think she moved the whole time she was holding him. Just to add to the anxiety, there was a power outage at C&W while she was holding him and his room went completely back for 30 seconds. It felt like a lifetime.

(May 4th, 2008) Griffin is awake more and more and requires a bit more to look at then the nurses. Gramma bought him an aquarium with music and lights. He is not too tripped out by the blue light. Griffin will turn his head towards it when the music starts up.

Griffin always knows how to get what he wants. This day he impressed the doctors that were on for the weekend and convinced them to take him off his high flow nasal prongs. His little smirk tells it all. Mum and dad needed a bit more convincing that he was ready. However, we will take the opportunity to hold him without so much tubing and hope he will continue to do well on room air.

He is starting to look more and more like a little boy, despite his bald patch. I am still not over the hair shaving.
