Merry Christmas

Christmas seemed to arrive so quickly this year. We all managed to get sick so it was a pretty low key event. Griffin and I slept for about 1 1/2 hours on Christmas eve. When he woke up on Christmas he had just enough energy to open 3 presents before we gave him a bath and put him back to bed. He and I had a nice long nap and then he opened a few more presents. In all it took him 2 days to open all of his presents, which is not surprising given the number there were. The picture below is a snap shot of the tree on Christmas eve and none of the presents were for Jordan and I.
Griffin was not going to let a silly cold get in his way of decorating and eating his Santa gingerbread man. This is a skill he has learnt from his dad.

We decided to transition Griffin out of his crib and into a big bed. We had bought a crib that could be converted to a bed. I don't think we thought that thru very well. The bed converted into a double and takes up a lot of the room. But, he will be able to keep this bed for a long time.
We took Griffin out to pick out his bedding, and not surprising he picked Diego. He looks so small in the hug bed.
He has done quite well so far. He only crawled out of bed the first night. Jordan and I decided to check on him before we went to bed. Jordan tried to open the door and could not because Griffin was asleep on the floor behind the door. Jordan put him back in his bed and he has never got out since. I am sure that will change.
